Il nuovo Premio Oscar, momenti prima di ricevere tale riconoscimento per la sua performance in “Una famiglia vincente – King Richard”, è salito sul palco per dare uno schiaffo al comico durante la presentazione del premio per miglior documentario, dopo che lo stesso Rock ha fatto una battuta sulla perdita di capelli di Jada Pinkett, moglie di Smith.
